Health & Beauty
Welcome to Your Home Of Wellness...
Each of our services conforms to the common InBalance theme of providing Wellness solutions from Prevention to Treatment and finally Rehabilitation:
At InBalance Health we have developed a range of massages to combat the stress of today's hectic lifestyle
Each massage offers specific benefits and can be tailored to your needs, simply by discussing it with your therapist.
Too often, massage is seen as a luxury when in reality it is necessary to combat the external stresses placed upon our bodies daily.
While you may not be able to devote hours to your health and wellbeing - at InBalance we have developed easy, efficient ways for you to care for yourself and still feel that pampered feel.
Simply choose the service that best suits your needs and leave the rest to us.
Skin Health & Beauty Therapy
InBalance Health recognise that your skin and your complexion are an outward indication of a body that has balanced nutritional intake, digestive system and hormonal balance. Your skin can be a reflection of any one of these systems lacking balance.
To ensure that you benefit from having any underlying condition addressed, our beauty therapists are trained to understand the connections between the internal health of the body and its effects on skincare. Our therapists exclusively use Dermalogica and specialise in Face Mapping, Facial Treatments, Waxing, Tinting, Manicures and Pedicures. We aim to create a beauty experience that leaves you with a sense of Balance.
The gait clinic was established to further the preventative and treatment abilities of the physiotherapists to meet the needs of people suffering from heel, ankle, foot, shin and knee pains.
In addition to your normal thorough assessment of joint range, posture and muscle length you will be asked to walk over a force plate linked to a computer. This records your gait pattern for each foot and allows your therapist to demonstrate to you your pattern compared with an expected normal as well as discuss whether your results are indicative of someone who would benefit from orthotic therapy.
Physiotherapy at InBalance Health is a 'hands-on', manual therapy approach to the treatment of muscle, joint, ligament, tendon and nerve injuries. Treatment is targeted from the outset at educating you in managing your injury and on preventative care - to minimise the risk of recurring injury and pain.
Experienced diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of:
- Sports Injuries
- Back and Neck Pain
- Chronic Back Pain
- Post-Operative rehabilitation
- Ante- and Post-Natal Physiotherapy
- Foot & Ankle Injuries via the Gait Clinic
- Spinal Stability Clinic
is available via appointment on a 6-day a week basis with after hours services also available.
We've all heard (or for those of you under 16 are still hearing), "Sit up properly", "stand up straight", "Don't slouch" or one of its close relatives. Sadly in most cases, Mum is right! You should change the position you are in, but what is considered Good Posture?
Good Posture...What is it?
Essentially it is the position that requires the least amount of effort on the part of your body WHILE PLACING THE LEAST AMOUNT OF STRESS ON THE BODY.
The bold bit is important. For a lot of people today, when sitting, the position that requires the least amount of effort is to slouch - as to sit with good posture is so foreign to them that the muscles (and even the joints sometimes) begin to protest within 60 seconds of sitting 'correctly'. This is because you have used the muscles so little they are no longer used to 'holding you up', and the joints have become stiff also. While this may be the position requiring the least effort NOW, it is not the correct posture because it is NOT the position which places the least stress on the body.
